Vietnam expects to host the 2012 U19 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Championships, according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). The VFF will invite a football team, from either Uzbekistan, Iran or Qatar, to take part in the tournament, which is scheduled to take place before the final round of the 2012 U19 Asia Football Championship (AFC).
The AFF tourney will see the participation of U19 squads from Vietnam, Thailand and Australia if they qualify for the AFC championship, and a visiting team.
