After her impressive victory at the SEA Games 26, artistic gymnast Phan Thi Ha Thanh continued her winning form to take another gold medal during a friendly competition in Japan.

On the vault, Thanh faced two strong rivals, Anja Rheinbay from Germany and ASIAD 16 Second Runner-up, Rie Tanaka of the hosts, Japan.
Despite the high pressure, she racked up an impressive performance, taking 14,300 points.
However her achievement was lower than the 14,666 points that brought her a world gold medal earlier, but it proved enough to help her take the gold in the friendly competition.
Her male compatriot Nguyen Ha Thanh also made a good impression, taking a silver in the vault.
After the friendly match, Phan Thi Ha Thanh and her team members will concentrate on the qualifying round for the London Olympics.
Phan Thi Ha Thanh has already qualified on an individual basis for the London games.
